Download Now and Enjoy Tomorrow

walkers enjoying the bluebell woodsWest Country Walks offers you a wide choice of walks and cycle route leaflets around North Devon and Exmoor as downloadable files. The walks and cycle routes are all designed to print out on A4 paper and then fold to third A4. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the files. This program is free from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

West Country Walks has provided self-guided walks and cycle rides in North Devon and Exmoor as part of its holidays since 1987. The self-guided route directions are easy to follow and show you the beautiful countryside and coast of North Devon and Exmoor. For a map of the area click here.

Devon has just been voted the Best County in 2009 by Country Life magazine again - but of course we all knew that!

NEW! North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival
18th to 21st September 2009

West Country Walks also runs the North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival which takes place every May around the May Day Bank Holiday over 9 days.

For the first time we are putting on an Autumn Walking Festival over 4 days. The festival site should have the walks ready for booking by the 3rd week in June. During this festival there will be about 32 guided walks to enjoy and some of the walks leaflets on this site cover walks guided during previous festivals.

GPS Routes

We have also provided GPS routes for some walks and rides. To access these you will need a GPS hand-held unit that can download tracks. The files are based on mapping from www.tracklogs.co.uk. You will need the map of the south west at the least which comes with the program and is very reasonably priced.

We hope you enjoy our walks and rides and we would welcome any feedback. Paths in the summer can get overgrown especially after a rainy period. They endeavour to cut them back every month to two months depending on the popularity of the path. Stiles are being replaced with bridle or kissing gates which could mean that the directions refer to a stile if they have been recently replaced. Please take this into consideration.

Come and enjoy some outings through glorious countryside and coast. You will be glad you did! Please tell everyone your experiences by writing a review. Go to the outing, as you did when buying it and click on the review to write your comments.
